I'm obviously having a 'senior moment'. I've managed, somehow, to remove the login page from my site map and I have no idea how to re-create it. I'm using Evo. Help please!

Can the senior moment also be that there has never been a sitemap listing of the login?

Because it's normaly not set in the sitemap.

Or you have a page devpted to login only in that case:

step3 select the page, click properties on top goto advanced TAB and set add to sitemap. you should also name the page login or something, but that is not a very normal way to handle login. Mostly it's done with the login/logout object.

Or do you mean you have lost the login object totaly?

Hi Andre

The original login page asked for email and username. I deleted this as I decided to use the login/logout object - until I realised it wanted a username and password, like earlier versions of X5.

I had recently informed all members that we were now using email and username to access the members area and want to keep it that way. The help pages say that once you create a locked page it automatically creates a login page, so is that what I've deleted?

Sorry that I'm so vague about this. I should have left well alone.

Thanks

Roy

Hi Andre

I've added a page titled 'Login' to the sitemap but how do I actually create the login page like it was before?

I've attached image of how it looked before I messed things up.

Hello Roy

Technically, it is not possible to delete the login page. I would like to understand what you did better.

Can you attach a screenshot of all pages you see in Step 3? Under Special Pages you should see this if the Automatic Registration is enabled in Step 1 -> Access Management

Keep me posted here

Thank you

Stefano

If you logged in and did not logout, your browser remembers this and you won't get the login message again.

By adding the login / logout object, and then use logout, then you automaticly get the login page again if you acces the locked page from internet. This is all automaticly arranged and you don't need to do anything for that.

i hope this helps.

Hi Andre

That doesn't really help as I want the login page to request email and password as it is now - https://www.fastonwater.co.uk/imlogin.php

Unfortunately I've managed to delete my original login page from the site. What I want to know is how do I recreate the way it looks at the moment.

Many thanks

Roy

Hi Andre

I've attached a screenshot of how the user settings page looks in Reserved Access. You will see that it asks for email and password.

Sorry Roy,

I don't understand exactly what you had so i don't knwo what to advice you. I see what you have, i just don't understand what you would like to see.

Anyway, i hope you want a menu item that goes directly to your login page, in that case do this;

use a new level or use mebers area, that is also a level to stop from going to login to a link with login like it is now.

in the level menu go to properties in step3, there select link option and use fie or url. set there this adres: https://www.fastonwater.co.uk/imlogin.php

if you mean something else please elaborat what is that you exactly would like to get.
