I have set up my e-commerce and tested a purchase which worked fine.
But I need to know how to ensure the "pay now" is taken off the order as the customer has already paid for the item.
I followed the "How to define payment methods" but this does not help.

Can you send us a screenshot of which order you mean?
Do you mean the button from Paypal with "Pay now"? This is automatically generated when the payment system Paypal is activated.

Not sure how to do a screen shot so I have downloaded an order which a family member did for me to make sure it worked. I have the Paypal activated along with payment by credit/debit cards. They paid for the item via debit card as they do not have a Palpal card.
This confused my family member as they had already paid for it.
Can I take off the email which generates the order and then send them the invoice once it has been paid.
Unfortunately, you cannot avoid sending an order confirmation.
But you can control the text what is displayed!
