Exception of type error V.15.0.1  en

Hi,

I have a large website which was created using V.15.0.1 and I hadn't updated since last February 2021. I have changed computer, reinstalled the same software and on going to update the website I get the error message "exception of type 'Website X5.BL.NewVersionProjectException' was thrown"

One smaller website has been rebuilt with no problem but I really do not have the will and inclination to redo the larger. Any possible solutions to this? I have found nothing on the community forums and if I upgrade the software to the latest version is there any guarantee that this will load in the file?

Many thanks,

Lynne

Hello. I sent a notification about your question to the company employees, expect an answer from them here in the comments.

In the meantime, it would be nice to know some information:

1) What is your operating system?

2) Have you tried disabling antivirus and firewall? If not, then try it.

3) Have you tried running the program as administrator? If not, then try it.

4) Do you have insufficient free disk space with the program and project?

5) Are the project files located on the local disk or in the cloud? If in the cloud, then move them to a local disk.

The best thing to do is to download the current version of V15 from your profile under "my license" on the right side under "download". The version should be V15.2.3.
The best is to uninstall again and delete the content of the folders in this path
C:\User\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Incomedia\WebSite X5 - Evolution

I have just followed the advice from Elisa B. and downloaded a more uptodate version - so far the website data has instantly loaded into it. I will try to open it later but thank you all for your very helpful advice. I had already tried some of the suggestions but to no avail.

Many thanks to all for the support, much appreciated,

Lynne
