Second Store Email
Author: Melissa K.Hi everyone,
I had a bit of a question that I'm not sure if it's something that can be done/implemented.
The situation is as follows. Currently, my client has their store set up so that a customer purchases something, my client receives an email confirming the order, and the customer receives their own email with the download link.
However, too often the customer says they don't receive the email, but we think that most likely, it wound up in the spam and trash folders [despite their insistence otherwise]. Now, my question is as follows: is there any way to have the email with the download link also get sent to my client? That way it's irrefutable that yes, the system is working well and the download link did go out.
Alternatively, is it possible to implement a tracking pixel of some sort into the email text?
Thank you!
Hello Melissa,
Into your admin page like below (https://www.mysite.com/admin)
You have an email log window where many infos are.
Or check the email logs to your provider to see if the email is ent with no error.
And ask to your customer to check with their provider is the email is received on the POP/Exchange server. Just to control.
Hope this helps
Enjoy!

Hi Axel,
Thanks for the tip! However, mine doesn't really do that:
As you can see, it only has one item from 2020 and that's it....any ideas?
What mail do you use? Domain or free gmail type? If the mail is free, then this problem will be permanent. Send a screenshot to see how you set up your email.

It's a domain email for the website, not a free one.
What specifically do you want me to screenshot?
Hello Melissa,
Does the email testing is OK by the same screen
Enjoy!

Hi Axel,
Yep, it works fine, and I did a mock purchase and I received the emails no problem, the thing is that my client would like a receipt of the email so they know that the email sent properly.
@Melissa,
Ok but no solution from my side.
Sorry.
Enjoy!
Axel
Try playing around with these email settings. In my case, option 3 came up. The mail security system sees my letter as sent personally.
You also need to take into account that the mail domain must be confirmed on the hosting. Usually there is an instruction about this on the website of the service that provides email for the domain.

Hi Дмитрий,
The settings I have currently work, I'm just wondering if there's something additional that I can do that would allow my client to also receive an email with the download link to verify that everything is working fine.
Hello Melissa
Unfortunately, I don't believe this to be possible from inside the software
You might consider investigating the exported files and modifying the code so that a copy of the email is sent to your email as well, but this is usually not advised since the modified code can be replaced next time you perform an upload via the software
I believe that there is no way to be sure of this but verifying the situation with the client directly
I remain available here

Hi Melissa.
Do you know why we can't help you? Although everyone here wants to do it.
You need to not only speak, but also send screenshots so that we can clearly see how and what you have set up. Personally, this is the last time I'm answering here and trying to suggest different solutions to your problem, since it's hard for me to guess what's going on there.
I would like to know what mail service do you use? If from a hosting provider, this is sometimes a problem. Maybe someone here has some advice for you.
If we talk about the settings that I indicated above in the screenshot, I did it for a reason. Let's say I failed to make a stable sending of letters to various mail services when I used the recommended sending method (PHP Mailer). Then I tested on the next option (SMTP), it got better, but it still worked every other time. The best option and stable work of the mail happened for my mail service when I tested it on the third option. It is possible that the name of this option is different in English, I use Russian. Through a translator, this is called “Authenticated Network…..”.
That is why I wrote in the last message that you need to test each option, regardless of whether it works or not.
And if you explained the essence of what should happen and what information the client should receive, without disclosing important details of the business, many would simply offer you alternative options. It is possible that the issue can be resolved not by mail to provide any information, but through the site to a closed page, which the client will be taken to after registration or after payment.
Only correctly formulated questions with pictures will be able to provide you with more extensive answers and solutions.
