The issue with the image being extremely zoomed come from the fact that iOS doesn't support some codes used to make the Background smaller.

If you place a background image and it needs to cover a lot of elements vertically, it will present like this. In general, I advise using background images only to cover small portions of the website at a time and never use images to cover the entire page height or situations like this might sometimes happen.

If possible, use background images to cover rows and not the entire website

Try this out and let me know if the display improves
