Thank you for your offer to assist with Page Flip.

I am attempting to build a photography site. Here are my questions about Page Flip:

  • Can I use Page Flip to make a series of “Galleries” – Flowers / Buildings / People, etc. The first page would identify the subject matter.
  • The pictures would be either PDF or JPEG files from my computer. Is one format better than the other?
  • Would the entire Gallery be 1 page in W5 terms or would each picture be a “page”?
  • Would it be possible to add text to each page (Such as a Title and perhaps some comments from the artist?)
  • What controls do I have over the actions of individual Page Flip pages?
  • Can each Page Flip page have a shortcut button back to the master index of the web site?

On another topic …….

I have been able to create a page with an image uploaded from my computer. BUT I can’t figure out how to add text on the page with the image. If I select the text icon it seems to want to replace / overwrite the image icon and relace the page with the picture. Any help I have found says to “Add> Text”. But I don’t see that anywhere on my screen.

Hi Morder,

first of all please let me clarify one important aspect: PageFlip is a type of content which you can use on an existing page to create a jpg image slideshow where the transition from an image to the other mimics flipping from a book page to the other. It isn't therefore a browsing effect which can be applied to a whole page.

Being a type of content you can add to your pages, you can use as many as you wants and combine it with other content types so to build up your pages the way you prefer. Also, because it is just a type of content, namely a type of gallery, the menu will be displayed for the user to browser on your website, as it is the case of any other page.

As per your other question, in order to add a text alongside the image, you need to add the Text Object on another cell. Each content needs its own cell(s), for instance:

Please let me know if I can be of any further help.
