Running Evo 2022.2.6. Program continually locks up and completely halts functions every time I add or edit any items. I check takmanager and it shows the program running at an extremely high power consumption. I have lost 3 site already due to the files getting corrupt while trying to process.

Tony, could you please check all your pages and ensure there are no empty cells. If there are then simply add any object (I use text) but there is no need to add content. If your pages have no empty cells then please temporarily disable or uninstall any 3rd party antivirus/malware/vpn/firewall software and advise your success or otherwise. You should also be aware that if one drive or similar is synchronising your work folder then this also is a known issue.

To ensure you never again loose a project, please go to step 5, export project (no need to include backups or preview). This will create an iwzip which includes everything you need to restore your project, even on other hardware. I suggest appending the date to each iwzip so you can have multiple fall back positions.

No empty cells, anti-virus and firewalls paused, added a new object and double click on it, I get the wait circle for about 5 min then nothing. I can not minimize chahnge pages or anything. Closed all shareing programs (ie one drive) and still the same result. This only began after the last update. I have not had any issues with this software since Ive owned it.

There must be something in this site that is doing this. I created a new project and all appear to be fine, i also edited another project and it too seemed fine.

Im at a loss, this site is very tedious and customized, I just hate to have to start over.

Tony, if the problem is only with one project then please create an iwzip of it (step 5, export project), re-open WX5 and select import and then select your new iwzip. This will not overwrite your existing project.

The new version also runs significantly slower for me than my old version Evo 13, although I bought a new notebook in January.

I don't even want to imagine if I had to run the current version on my 8-year-old notebook.

Tony, sadly you are running Evo so I cannot recommend running optimise, I cannot even offer to look at your project (perhaps incomedia could??)

Is this site currently online (got a link)? Are you making extensive use of many or large images? Is it a large shop perhaps?

When it faults is the problem on all pages or only a few? If you simply open the project, click on step 3 and then do a ctrl+preview does the website display after some time?

Yes, to the question of complex and large files. I reduced it down and changed the way some links were set, and it seems to work now. I appreciate all your help.

the site is pfcparanormal.org if you'd like to check it out. I use corel and customize everything, so Im sure I just over powered it.

Tony, I am very pleased you have been able to update and upload your website. WX5 copes extremely well with large images, but this does take it's toll on the speed with which it can generate previews, etc. When I was an Evo user I made extensive use of batch resize in both the freeby irfanview and photoshop, it is possible that corel may offer the same functionality. It is unnecessary to use any image which is larger than it will ever display on the site.

I would never imply that you need to move to the pro version (because it is a lot on money), but when weighing up if you need pro in the future, be aware that it offers functionality sadly not available in evo which may dramatically improve your website https://www.websitex5.com/en/pricing.php

And I could not live without the ability to alter the order objects display in mobile resolutions or full control of mobile resolutions and layout of content for each, in fact this was the need that triggered me to upgrade many versions ago.

Nice website, but you may wish to revisit the header at resolutions between mobile and desktop. Have a great day.

The link I provided has a feature comparison :-)

If you order pro, make sure you create an iwzip of every project. I recommend importing each iwzip into pro.

AND

If pro doesn't impress you you can get a refund for 30days and you will still have projects that open in Evo  Good luck!
