Broke sending comments on the site  en

Good afternoon.
I've been updating the program since February, but haven't tested the 5958.ru website. Yesterday I decided to check, because since February there has not been a single new review, although people contacted through the mail form.
I don't know what happened, but now I'm not able to post comments on the site. I wrote to the reg.ru hosting support service, they checked and reported that everything was working as usual on their part. After each new X5 update, I launched the site on the constructor and then uploaded it to the server. I suppose that after the next update, my comments broke. Everything worked well before.

Any ideas where to look for the problem?

There are a couple of options for WX5 comments (DB or file). And then there is FB and Disqus comments options.

Could you please state how you are configured?

Thank you.

By the way, Dmitry, in my website test example everything looks good? But I took this screenshot because (as I learnt) PHP 8.1 isn’t yet supported. So it can be a little misleading ;o) But your looks fine to me.

I use X5 for comments. The site worked well for over a year. And after the next update, I don’t know which one, it stopped working. I know one thing that site visitors have stopped leaving comments since February of this year. I thought that just no one leaves comments, but it turns out that the problem is different.

I understand that you use WX5 for comments. But you did not state if you are using a ‘database’ or ‘file’ option.

I feel your frustration, Dmitry.

Thanks.

In this case, what I would do is use ‘MySQL Workbench’ to connect to my database (using the setting provided in ‘FTP & DB connection parameters’ in Step 5) and verify when the last entry was made to the DB. If this takes you outside of your comfort-zone, then I would suggest calling your hosting provider and ask them to find out when the last entry was made to the ‘comments table’. And, while you got them on the telephone, verify the Database connection details.

Someone else might have a better approach. But in the short time that I’ve been here, I have not seen this issue.

I wrote at the beginning that I immediately contacted the hosting provider. No problems were found on his side. I switched from Database to File for experiment and I see that the subfolder is created, but the file with the review is not. The problem is most likely in X5. I've already looked at all the options. I need more qualified help. I remind you, the site 5958.ru

I created a test page, set comments there and it all worked. I'll try to remove the old comments and install again.

Fixed! I had to create a new table and delete the old one. Some kind of error made it impossible to work with the old database.
