When I add a union jack flag as an icon to a level it sits over the top of that level. The text should be to the right or left of the icon. See the image below. Any help welcome. Thank Richard

Is it possible to provide an online link? Is this icon on a page or in the header, how is it being placed? Is it perhaps in a menu? We may be able to guess if we saw the site.

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly

Hover over "Transplant" and you will see the issue - a Union Jack with OPBG written across it. I had the same issue under "Patient Information" and just resolved it by using flags without text.
I put the icon in through the Level Properties box - see image attached
Thank you
Richard
Richard, it appears to be a limitation of WX5. Adding an icon to the home level menu works correctly, but not so for subsequent levels.
I see you have added full stops to pad the text past the logo, if you use an unbreakable space instead (ALT+255) this will make the menu look correct (I added 9) Hold down ALT key whilst typing 255 on numeric keypad then release ALT key.
We can report this as a fault in WX5 if you wish but I suspect it will finish up never being addressed.
@Esahc ..: I added a test image to the menu, but how do I remove it?
Hello, try aligning the level menu items to the right and giving the menu items the appropriate width so that they can contain icons and texts ... see screenshot below
The result is this, as you can see there is no overlap:
Or, even better as a visual harmony, set the level menu items with center alignment, set an adequate width and you shouldn't have the problem of overlap...
This is the result...
Giuseppe you are correct!!
I had a senior moment :-(
Daniel, to remove the test image right click on it and select remove :-)

Firstly man thank you both for being so helpful. I had to chuckle at Giuseppi's diagram using his Italian version and helpfully circling and putting some English onto. I currently work in Bambino Gesù and need all the linguistic help I can get from my colleagues too.
Unfortunately neither solution works for me. I do not have number keypad on my laptop and so alt 255 it does not work. I cannot find where to adjust the menu options as Giuseppi suggests and I think it is because I have a different version (Website X evo 2022.2.9) to his.
Finally I want to thank Incomedia for always being so responsive to queries and also for a great program which helps me provide practical advice for people in the field of cardiothoracic transplantation around the world.
Richard, if you are using a laptop, they normally have a numeric keyboard overlay (normally with numbers written in blue), it is normally selected using the FN key+ whatever key has numlock written on it.
As for the version - there are many differences between evo and pro, but this is not one of them.
An abridged version of Giuseppe's instructions:-
Go to step 2 and select template content. Double click on your menu. Click on Level Menu tab and select centre or right alignment. If you now put your icons back they will not be overwritten.
If you choose to use sticky bar (floating menu) you will need to make the same changes there :-)
Exactly, as Esahc indicated
I live in Italy and I only have the Italian version of the software but I thought Richard would still be able to get to the level menu settings.
Best regards

Thank you both for all your patience and help!
Richard
Of nothing, congratulations for everything you do in your medical profession!
P.S. the BAMBINO GESÙ Hospital that we are lucky enough to have here in Italy, in Rome, is one of the most important pediatric research centers in Europe. Congratulations doctor!
Richard, this is obviously a work in progress, I would like to suggest that since you are only providing a desktop version of your site at this time (not responsive) that you reproduce your menu etc in the stickybar exactly as you have in the header.
The Hamburger Menu is not suitable for displaying your multiple level menus.
If you ever turn on responsive, please be aware that you can maintain versions of the header for each resolution that can display as text even on a mobile without having to resort the very limited and frustrating Hamburger Menu

That looks much better - but I can't figure out how to get rid of the Hamburger menu. I hae tried responsive but it doesn't display well on my iphone, where as the desktop works on all platforms.
I appreciate your adivce - thank you
You have a menu on the sticky bar in content, if you can drag it large / wide enough the burger menu will not appear and text will be visible.
I will provide screen shots if requested.

I tried your suggestion - the menu is now the full width, but hamburgher still present
I will provide screen shots tomorrow (bit late down here in Aus).
If the dots represent the menu box, drag it to size of sticky bar. Unless you ticked box to always show burger it should fit.
Until tomorrow . . . .
Author
Thanks - I have dragged to full width - the dots on the sides don't show. I have not ticked the box so it remains a puzzle to me. Enjoy your evening. Hopefully tomorrow we can get it sorted

Finally figgured it out so we can both rest easy tonight. The hamburgher menu was hiding behind the sticky menu. I deleted the sticky menu, found the hamburgher menu, deleted and the put the sticky menu back. I would however criticize the mechanism for customizing the menu - because when you drag the menu items onto the canvass (dark or light) they are not visible so it is very hard to see what is there unless you click on it and then the dots appear. Perhaps the software people could fix this? It would also be helpful if there was an edit button to customize the menu - it is not intuitive to double click a black space. These are however minor criticisms and as I said before I really appreciate the program - it suits my needs and we use it all the time in the hospital to access the protocols on our phones!
Anyway I really appreciate your patience, perseverance, suggestions and help to improve my website!
