Need Help - Any Way to Program Hyperlink to Send pdf File to User's Printer?
Author: Cf GuyHi All,
I have benefited immensely from the replies I have gotten through my posts on designing my first Website X5 Pro website.
There is a new issue I was wondering if I could get some help/advice with.
I know how to program a hyperlink to "send webpage to printer", but I don't like this so much, as it prints everything on the page (whereas I feel I could create a PDF file (letter-sized) with just the pertinent information/graphics from the page for my users to print out).
I also know how to hyperlink to a PDF File so that it opens in a "showbox", etc. where the user can then choose whether to download the PDF file or send it to their default printer, however I just wanted to make things easier for the user so that they don't have to go through the extra steps of clicking to send the PDF to printer, once it appears in the showbox.
I have posted a screenshot of what I would like to accomplish to this post.
Similarly, is there a way to program a hyperlink to just directly download to a user's computer, rather than having the PDF first appear in a "showbox", etc. and making the user go through the extra steps to click to download the PDF that appears on their screen to their computer or mobile device?
If anyone has any help or suggestions for me, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much for your help with these issues.

Hello. As far as I know, at the moment, there is no such possibility in the program.
You can create a separate PDF document for each page, but the user will need to download or open it and print it.
Maybe someting like this could help: http://eksempelsite.dk/print-part-of-page.html
About the download link use this:
<a href="yourURL" download>test

Hi there!
You could also use the Download Button Object: https://market.websitex5.com/en/objects/live-preview/ca0b2570-2b30-4351-a139-337898ed2e
Please keep me posted. Kind regards.
