Need Help - Error Messages Trying to Publish Website to Other Web Space Provider  en

Hi All,

I am at a point where I am stuck.

I have finished deigning my website and am ready to publish it.  I have a domain name and web hosting contract from the company "Ionos", which is where I want to publish my website.

I called Ionos tech support tonight and spoke to a very polite, patient, seemingly-knowledgeable tech who walked through all the "publishing to a different web space provider" settings, but there were some he either didn't know the answer to or just gave me his "best guess".  He told me that for these answers, I would need to contact support for the web design software.

I have attached an annotated PNG file with all of the settings that he guided me through inputting into the Website X5 Pro publish settings ("for another website provider"), however I keep getting caught in a vicious cycle with an error message "The selected server or destination folder does not match the website URL" for the boxes of "Website Address (URL)" and for "Destination Folder".

If anyone would please do me the favor of looking at the attached PNG file (with annotated screenshots) and could perhaps give me some insight or feedback as to what I might be doing wrong, or what information I have entered incorrectly, I would greatly appreciate it.

I am frustrated at this point, and would be grateful for any insight or help.

Thank you so much for your help with this issues.

Hi Daniel,

Thank you so much for taking the time to look at my attachments and answer my post.

I went in and changed the "Website Address (URL):" setting from https://fixit100.com to https://fixit100.com/, as you suggested - which makes sense when I think about it as I remember seeing other website addresses with the "/" symbol at end.

Every other parameter in "Website Export to Internet" and my "Parameters" setting I left the same.

I then tried to publish the website again, but still keep getting the red exclamation points next to "Website Address (URL):", as well as the "Destination Folder:" boxes with the error "The selected server or destination folder does not match the website URL" listed for each of those entry boxes. cry

Thanks to your help, I feel as if I am making progress (correcting the website address to include "/" symbol  at the end), however I am still stuck with the same error code for the aforementioned two input fields, when attempting to publish my website on "Ionos".

I will continue to do independent research on the topic, and will likely attempt another support call to "Ionos" web hosting support, to see if I am able to connect with a more experienced support tech.

In the meantime, thanks so much for your help, and if anyone else out there who has had experience publishing a Website X5 designed website to "other web space provider" has some input or suggestions as to what I might be doing wrong, I would greatly appreciate hearing from you.

Thanks so much, everyone. smile

Good afternoon Cfguy

First of all, I would like to point out that the error you're getting is in no way blocking.

This means that if you just click on "No", the software will attempt to export anyway, so you can try that too.

Apart from that, one quick question.

If instead of starting the export you click here:

What happens?

If a new window opens, can you post here the screenshot of what you see there?

I remain available here

Stefano
