Hello,

I am using WebX5 Evo. I have a purchased domain for my business - www.yourregenesis.com. I have redirected the domain to HostIt and purchased the web hosting for it. I have activitated this domain. When I go to publish to my domain from the WebX5 Evo software it says my website is on line - yet when I check it the actual web page states I have not published my website yet. I don't know what I am doing wrong.

Is their a video turorial on how to do this correctly?

Cheers,

Romy

Thank you Daniel for your response. I used "Upload the Website to the Internet". The webhosting is the affiliate with WebX5 - "HostIt". I can go into the control panel for my business domain from my log in on WebX5. Please see pic which shows my domain (yourregenesis.com) listed as an option to upload too from the WebX5 Evo software.

I don't use the web space that comes with WebSite X5, so I can't tell you how to proceed.

WebSite X5 users using a different web space will see a parameter button instead of the buy button.

Romy, your post has been marked for Incomedia's attention but with luck a knowledgeable user will step forward and assist in the interim.

Hello Romy

I believe that in Step 3 -> Properties for the Homepage, you assigned a custom name for the homepage. For this reason, the hosting space doesn't know what file is the actual homepage.

If this is correct, please disable this field for the Homepage only and upload the website again. Let me know if that works

Thank you

Stefano

Hi Stefano,

Thank you for your reply. I checked and I did not change the home page name -  it's still "Home Page". I am wondering if in step 5 - the destination folder automatically populates with /public_html. Shouldn't it be /index.html?

Cheers,

Romy

Stefano G. means this approach:

In WebSite X5, click "3 Sitemap", then highlight "Homepage" and click "Properties" at the top.

Mark the box for "File Name" and enter "index" in the input field below.

Then upload the complete website to the web space with "5 Export" and "Export the website to the Internet". The website should now be accessible via the web address.

Press the F5 key so that the browser requests the website again. Is the website visible now?
