API GLS parcelshop, API post offices, API bank account e.t.c. ??????

The WebsiteX5 is not a professional webshop software. These functions are fundamentally important for the operation of a webshop.

I paid a lot of money to buy the software, but I feel cheated because it can't be used this way.

When specifying the delivery address, customers cannot select the address of the post office, or the address of the parcel vending machine and parcel point pick-up points, e.g. GLS.
This is an awfully big shortcoming of WebsiteX5.
It is not suitable for professional webshop operation, we are lagging behind in the online competition.
This disability and error must be corrected urgently.
Thank you for your reply
Best regards, László Sztojnó

Website X5 is great for creating websites.
They are indeed miles behind when it comes to creating a web shop.
Regarding your request regarding collection points, bank accounts APIs,
these requests have been made so many times.....just join the back of the queue.

Good afternoon Akvarius

Thank you for your feedback

It is important to differentiate between an error and a lack of some functionality.

As you probably know, there are a great variety of shipping companies as well as services that allow for monetary transactions, and most of those require their own implementation of custom codes to work correctly.

WebSite X5 doesn't focus on ecommerce alone, but must constantly be updated for every aspect that revolves around creating a website, so it is very likely that it cannot always be up to speed with all of the e-commerce features that some other CMS built specifically for that, have.

Additionally, other CMS which are usually free strongly rely on community-made plugins to add most of their functionalities, which of course has its advantages and disadvantages. With WebSite X5 all updates are made and verified by us, which means that should something not work, you can freely contact us to have it solved. Of course that also means that it is unlikely that as many different shipping and payment systems can be added at the same speed

That being said, please always do open a new Idea topic if you wish a specific system to be added, like GLS you mentioned. This way, we can be sure that if many people requested GLS specifically, it is worth investigating

Thank you

Stefano

How many requests do you need to make changes/additionals in Website X5?

Hello Jan

Unfortunately, it's not really about the number of requests alone.

As you can imagine, every request has to go through a lot of internal discussions before being approved and added to the software.

The factors that can influence this are of course the number of users interested in the update, the complexity, the time needed to implement, whether other areas of the software might need extensive changes to work with the new update as well as a commercial partnership with certain companies.

All I can say is that even if users' requests alone are not enough to make sure that a certain feature is added, they are still very important. Should you have any idea on new features for the software, always open up new idea topics since they are very helpful to us

Thank you

Stefano

Thank you for answers!

I recommend that you take a look at the services of UNAS and Shoprenter. Both are international companies with maximum knowledge of which functions a webshop needs.
API is an international standard, banks and shipping companies all use this standard. It is not necessary to integrate each company separately into the Websitex5 program, it is enough to integrate the API, and from then on we can work together with each service provider in a professional manner.

I have been creating webshops for 13 years, I started with WebsiteX5 version 7. I really like this program, but unfortunately, if WebsiteX5 does not keep up with international trends, I will also be forced to migrate my webshop to Shoprenter or UNAS providers.

Best regards

@Akvarius:

Youre 100% right,

Unfortunately I had to decide to stop my Websitex5 update service. I still have a few (info) websites running with Website X5,  as long you need no shop,  this is perfect.

For my webshops I have now switched to a professional webshop provider here in the Netherlands. Costs me      € 15,= per month/shop. But site provides all means of payment, fully automatic responsive, discounts, promotions, offers at checking out  etc etc.

For me most important:

I have no longer to worry about every update from Website X5, check my website to dicover what is not functioned this time...
