Saludos

Good morning, Christian.

This sounds like its cache related. Have you tried to access the website from another device?

If you post the URL, we can take a look for you.

Andy.

Sorry for the delay, Christian.

I’ve now found a moment to visit your website. And, I am pleased to inform you that I do not get the landing page. My browser took me straight to /home.html. You should be able to verify this in your server logs.

I am now convinced that this is a cache issue. In this case, you should not get the landing page on another device or browser. Clearing the cache of your usual browser should also work. However, with that said sometimes the server does its own caching which can cause issues.

If you are confident that all cached items have been deleted, then you might need to contact the hosting provider to resolve it.

I hope that this helps.

Andy.

You might be able to force the server cache to update without the need to contact the host. This might involve deleting all files on the server and creating/uploading a simple home.html file. I have no idea if this would work, as I would just contact the host and ask them to resolve the cache issue.

Someone else here may have a better/sure way to provoke an update to the server cache.

I do not believe that the issue is with WX5.

Sorry, Christian. Please wait to see what others have to say.

Thank you.

Thanks for the update, Christian. I certainly look forward to hearing what your host has to say (or if they resolve the problem)!

Simply removing the files from the server and uploading again may not be enough. If (after removing the files) you place a simple home.html page that is different from your usual home.html, then (I would hope) any cache (server or local) would have to reconcile the difference. This should happen again when you re-upload the website. Admittedly, it’s a shot in the dark, and I cannot say for sure that it will work.

A quick way to create a simple home.html is to use notepad and paste something like this:

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<body>

<h1>Hail Mary</h1>
<p>The cache should now be updated.</p>

</body>
</html>

Rename the file from new.txt to home.html. Save, upload, and test.

Hopefully, this won’t be necessary.

You are most welcome. Good luck!

My copy/paste malfunctioned. Here it is again (properly formatted):

<! DOCTYPE html>

<html>

<body>

<h1>Hail Mary</h1>

<p>The cache should now be updated. </p>

</body>

</html>

Hola Christian
