This is an external Google website that will open in a new browser tab, so just close that new browser tab.

Hi Daniel thank you for your answer, I know now that this is the only way of closing the page.

But this is not the way anybody will start trying to close the page. It took me some time to find this work around. Somebody must change the program so that you can leave the page by "escape" or a bottom on the page, would that be possible??smile

Can I put a close bottom on the page or something else for people to understand how to close the page??

I asked another person to close the page, he gave up, because this is not the way to work on a good website.

Can you please send my question to Incomedia they don`t answer me.

Looking foreward to your answer

Kindregards w. walter

A link to an external website (Google) was set on your own website, which should be opened in a new browser tab and the browser does exactly that.

If you leave the link open in the same browser tab, then the visitor can click on the back arrow at the top of the browser and ends up back on the previous website.

One way would be to open the link to an external website in a ShowBox window, which could then be closed with a click on the X, but Google doesn't allow that.

With my own websites, I can display website 1 in a ShowBox window of website 2 because I didn't add a blocking function to website 1.

It's probably just a hint for the unsuspecting visitors that they have to close the new browser tab if they want to see the previous page again.

As far as I know, Incomedia employees are also reading along here.

Hello Daniel

In this case, it is correct that no X is present on the page itself. This is because you're opening the PDF file in a new tab so no X can be present there.

You need to simply close the new tab if you want to close the file.

Alternatively, you can configure the link not to open the PDF in a new tab but in a different way

I remain available here

Stefano

Hi Stefano,

that's not my contribution and it's not my problem either, it's William Walter's.

I know how to close tabs.

x William Walter,  ... (It > En)  ... ... you can use this option:
> Choose if you want to display it using Google Viewer or iframe.
 ... (FAQ)...
... if you can't do it, and if you want to try my EXTRA code, let me know, so I'll post my invention for that page, ShowBox+GoogleDocViewer, ... otherwise ignore my post...

.

ciao
