Database Parameters or How to remove Shopping cart from the purchased template?
Author: Leonid S.Hello everyone,
I recently purchased a website template called "Financial Consultant," and I'm facing some issues while trying to upload it to FTP using the WebsiteX5 program. It's asking me to enter additional parameters of the Database, and I suspect it might be due to the integrated store within this template. I have a couple of questions related to this matter and would greatly appreciate any help or guidance:
Question 1: Is it true that the need to enter additional database parameters is related to the integrated Shopping Cart in the "Financial Consultant" template?
I'm curious to know if the reason why the WebsiteX5 program is requesting these additional database parameters is indeed because the template includes a store functionality. In my previous experiences with simpler sites that didn't have a shopping cart, I didn't encounter such prompts from the WebsiteX5 program. I want to clarify this aspect to understand the situation better.
Question 2: How can I disable the shopping cart in my "Financial Consultant" template?
Since I don't require the shopping cart functionality for my website, I would like to know how I can disable it in the "Financial Consultant" template. It would be great to receive some guidance or instructions on how to modify the template settings to remove the shopping cart feature entirely.
Thank you in advance for your time and support!
Answer 2: Go to step 1 "Settings" in the selection "Online shop" or "E-Commerce". In the products area you have to delete all categories and products and the special pages disappear. If you have already placed pages of the online shop in the menu area in step 3 "Sitemap", you must delete them manually.

Dear Franz-Josef,
Thank you for your response and providing additional insights on how to disable the shopping cart in the "Financial Advisor" template. I appreciate your help in addressing my concerns.
After following your initial suggestion and removing the categories, products, and special pages from the "Shoping cart" settings in Step1 and in Step3 "Sitemap", I found that there was still some remaining data that needed to be cleared. I also went ahead and deleted all the data from the Step1 "Settings" > "Blog" section as well.
After taking these steps, everything started working smoothly. The prompts to enter additional database parameters no longer appeared, and I was able to successfully upload the website template to FTP without any further issues.
Thank you once again for your support and for taking the time to help me out. I truly appreciate it!
