This eems to be similar problem to this post..  https://helpcenter.websitex5.com/en/post/256452

I have updated today to 2023.2.3 and as per the post above , I have done a full all files upload to server but problem is the same.

I have tried a test completion of contact form and clicked "send" and pauses for a while then error in top  left corner of NEW page flashes  "You must activated javascript"

then redirecting you to previous page appears under that twice..  Then reverts back to contact form page.

Have tried in Chrome and Edge and in Chrome settings/privacy/sitesettings/content/sites can use javascript have added under allowed my problem site championprenail.co.nz

My clients customers on 2 occasions a few weeks back, have completed the contact form but nothing was received back from the client. So that contact system has stopped working..

Have you tried the SMTP script type?

Thanks Aleksej [again]..  my email was set to PHP Mailer [recommended] and the contact form has worked fine until recently  but do not know what provoked the failure..  Presume it was a recent  X5 update..  championprenail.co.nz is the site.

I have done as you suggested and changed the PHP Mailer to Authenticated SMTP and included the SMTP user and passord detail. Re uploaded and get exactly the same javascript activate error.

HELP please

Can you try deleting the Contact Form completely and recreating it from scratch?

Was the contact form newly created?

Thanks Daniel, there are actually 2 similar contact forms under "contact us"  and on another page "Upload Plans".

Those forms have been in place for about 18 months and used to work.

I will see what Stefano comes bck with before killing the forms and starting again which would be a real pain. have graphics in the email format as well. Hope Stefano is not on vacation somewhere

Hello Peter

What Daniel suggested is exactly what I would suggest after performing one more attempt first.

Go into your forms and change whatever small detail is in them.

Then, hold down the left CTRL key and as you're holding it down, click on the preview icon.

This will recreate all preview files, so this time the preview should take longer to load.

Once it's done, upload the entire website again, not just the latest edits.

Let me know if this helped

Thank you

Stefano

Hi, I hanged small things, I add 3 full stop to imrove the indent on the 2nd column in the 2 forms.Ctrl refreshed the forms, did a full upload and they both now work..  Hooray..

Actually where you see the red line in the attached is where I added a FULLSTOP and 2 SPACES to move the second coloum to the right a little..  Is there another way of aligning that second column in the form.

Thanks for the help

Hello Peter

I'm glad to hear it works now. No, the way you used is just fine. The width of a field is the only field you can use to achieve similar results

I remain available here

Stefano
