It appears to be a bug. (WebSite X5 Evo 2023.2.5)

It happened to me when I copied and pasted text into Website X5 from another source.

But no matter how many times I change the text to Normal - or the font to Verdana - I get a similar error message every time I open Webplus.

In my case I get the error message with Calibri - which isn't in my site at all - but is in Word, which I copied and pasted text from.

I've gone through the entire site and reset all the text to normal font - but the error remains.

Since your problem is different from the original one in the post, I split the original post.

If you copy text from a document that was created with another program like Word in your example, it can happen that not only the text but also control characters such as the font are copied. So it can be that other results unintentionally arise when inserting. Alternatively, you may actually need to retype the text or revise the Word text before pasting. Here it makes sense to remove all Word formats by taking a detour via the Windows Editor. Paste in Notepad and then copy again from Notepad and then paste the text into WebsiteX5. This should remove the formatting.

Thanks for the suggestion - it may work going forward but doesn't solve the current problem.

The bug is the banner ad Website X5 displays saying it will change the font (which someone else also encountered). But then the font isn't changed, or the change isn't saved, because the message pops up again every time I open the website.

In between not getting the error message and getting the error message, I had changed two pages - and despite checking that only Verdana font is on those two pages, the error persists.

(I was pasting the text using the special paste, which should in theory clear the formatting.)

Try this: Copy the text from the affected page object and paste it into notepad. Delete the text object or the object in question in WebsiteX5 and insert a new one. Copy the text from Notepad and paste it into the object.
