I have just upgraded to Pro. I now seem to have TWO sites, one geberated by EVO and one by PRO. How can I competely remove the EVO (ie non-PRO) version?

I don't use the inclusive web space and the automatic domain myself.
The Incomedia employees are only online again during office hours in Italy.
The license for Evo has probably not yet expired, so the included web space and the automatic domain (username.websitex5.me) of the Evo version are still active here.
Is the automatic Domian the same in both versions?

I upgraded from EVO to PRO, largely to obtain the automatic registration functionality. I now have two domains, one created with EVO and one with PRO. I don't need both, so I would like to remove the site from the first (EVO). Ideally, I'd like to use the 1st site address (the addresses are identical except that the 2nd one has a '2' added to the automatic user name.
Hello Michael,
if you open WebSite X5 Evo and reach Step 5 - Export, you will be able to access the root directory of your website.
You should see "WebSite X5 Hosting evo [nameofthehosting.websitex5.me] in the dropdown menu, it should be the one without the 2.
If you click on the folder icon at the end of "Destination folder", you can enter the main directory of your website.
If you delete the content of public_html, the content of the website won't be available any longer.
Be careful about not editing or deleting anything outside of public_html when doing operations of this kind.
I remain available.

Hello Eric,
This doesn't seem to work. When I now try and open this site in EVO - which I had transferred to Pro and since edited it - I get the message: "The specified Project cannot be opened because i was created with a later edition of WebSite X5 Pro." In effect, what I did was I used the folders where I had created the site in EVO to further modify it with PRO, which prevents access from EVO.
I cannot reach the nameofthehosting.websitex5.me as a result to take the actions you suggest.
So how can I remove the old site and replace it with the version from Pro?
Michael
Hello Michael,
if you have edited the same project in the Pro version, you won't be able to open it again in the Evo version, my bad for not considering that, being the same website, you had likely imported it into Pro.
If create another project in Evo, you can access this folder in Step 5 by selecting the relevant hosting option, and proceed as I mentioned, so that the website is only available with the domain corresponding to the Pro hosting.I remain available.

Hello Eric,
Excellent - that worked.
Now, how can I move my PRO site from [nameofthehosting2.websitex5.me] to [nameofthehosting.websitex5.me]?
Thanks for the help.
Michael
Hello Michael,
unfortunately this cannot be done, as those are the default domains created and associated automatically to the hosting spaces, using your account's information to generate a name.
In order to customize the domain's name, you would need to purchase a custom one.

Ok. That's a shame.
