What does annulled mean

What does the STATE of ANNULLED mean. When I cllck the i it just shows a date.

Apparently the purchase of the item in the Marketplace was reversed. Information about this should be available by clicking on the blue (i).

I agree that the blue (i) should give a reason but all it shows is a date.
