Hi

I am trying to work on my site but the software keeps freezing. I have restarted etc and am thinking I could reinstall the software but in doing so am I likely to loose projects and in any case is this likely to solve the problem? I have closed all other open programmes.

Hello Adrian,
uninstalling the software should not affect your projects, however if you want to be completely sure, you could export them as IWZIP to generate a compressed file containing all of the project at its current state, and save it somewhere on the PC and also on an external storage.
This is good practice in general in case of any malfunctions, software or hardware-related.
I would suggest to follow these steps when reinstalling:

1) Uninstall the software in the standard way, from the Windows panel.
2) Go to the path C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Incomedia and delete the folder corresponding to your version of the software (it should be WebSite X5 - Pro).
3) Restart the PC.
4) With the antivirus and firewall temporarily disabled, run as admin the installer you can find here: https://www.websitex5.com/download/v2024.1/wsx5_ev.exe

Very helpful thank you. I have other projects as well and they seem to work as normal but I am sure this will help. I have the key for the software.
