My web have several subdomains. When I try to upload the subdomain it gives me an error after starting uploading. I have been doing it manually through the ftp but I would like to upload with the automatic option in the X5.

I already had this one working: http://elfinaldelavefenix.martaquerol.es/ that I had to upload manually and now it works

But I have tried with a new one and gives me an error. See attachment

Hi Marta Q.,

ask of your provider if you have a permission to write in your subdomains.

If you want do a test, try export your site with an externa ftp program (for example Filezilla).

I did it successfully before writing the question here. No problems with Filezilla.

Marta if you are uploading with Filezilla you can upload with X5.....

I have done this 100's of times for X5ers and the main area of concern when using X5 is the "Initial Directory"

A "Foolproof" method I use is fill in the X5 Export as though you are uploading to the "Root" of the server (www or public_html) then find the sub-directory you want to upload to. Click on to open and take note of the path inserted at the top in the address bar of X5.... Insert this into the "Initial Directory"

See screenshot Marta....

Just one other thing.... Make sure you have enough webspace to accommodate more sub-directories!!

Have fun.....
