Good morning.

After the last update, something strange is happening to the contact form.
All websites that have been updated on the server are sent to the "spam" folder; the antivirus program also classifies the messages as spam.
On one website, sending messages via the contact form does not work at all.

Before the update, everything worked without any problems.
Any idea ?

Hello,
in version 2042.2 we introduced a change requested by many users regarding e-mail management, making it so that e-mails generated by the website because of user interactions (such as orders of contact forms) now come from the user's address.
The users' address is now visible as the sender because it is used as the "from" address, but e-mails still pass through the address set in Step 5 as the address used to send e-mails (the actual "sender" address): you should notice "on behalf of" or something similar written after a user's e-mail address, as in this image.

Depending on the provider, changes may be needed in the configuration to avoid these e-mails being blocked or flagged as spam.
If you encounter issues, I would suggest contacting your hosting provider to describe this and request the necessary modifications so that this type of sending it allowed.
They may be modifications for the DNS records related to e-mail validation (SPF, DKIM and DMARC) for example, but this can change from one provider to another.

Wait a minute, so in step 5 should I add something after the email address?
So if something worked properly before the update, it was bad, and now it works bad, is it good?
Well done, well done. I don't know whether to cry or laugh.

Hello Waldemar,
rather than adding something in Step 5, I am referring to changes in the configuration at the server level, although which changes depends on the provider.
By describing the situation they should be able to make the proper configuration.

We will also be adding a toggle for this option shortly, so that the users who do not need or wish to see the users' e-mails in these instances, or whose provider does not support these changes, can choose to disable this function.

Apologies for the inconvenience.

Eric
