Unable to publish website because Database parameters are missing
Author: Garry FaegenburgHi all,
Unfortuneatly today I woke to discover my main PC where Website x5 Pro was installed was toasted.
I have a secondary PC I was able to use to recover all my data, however I forgot that my new PC did
not have X5 Pro installed.
When I went to install the version I bought 6 years ago, I got the message about no longer supported so
I went ahead and purchased the new version.
Everything was fine until i went to upload one of my websites.
It is requiring me to enter database parameters. my other website didn't make me enter anything there.
i am not aware of any feature i used that I need adatabase requirements for.
I still have the hard disk available from the broken computer.
Is there a file somewhere that has the parameters for the Webserver that I can recover.
I host my own websites here at my house on a Windows 2019 Server.
Can anybody help me figure out what to do?
Is it possible that because I have a blog on this website it actually uses a database?
I don't remember installing anything on the webserver to have to to do this on the older version of X5.
Let's check if push notifications are enabled in WbSiteX5, because they require a database.
Here you can find the instructions with a screenshot of the control panel and here you can remove the check mark below, see
