Forms are no longer working on my site  en

Forms are no longer working on my website, but no settings have been changed in the backend or with our hosting provider. I read that PHP language is required for website X5, but our parameters have always been set up at SMTP and our host suggests we not use PHP for security reasons. They are now asking for a username and password for the email parameters and we have no username and password set up for this. I'm not sure how to proceed to fix our forms.

I live in Germany, and my web hosting provider is Hosteurope.

With my old web hosting package, I first switched to "PHP Mailer (recommended)" and then later to "SMTP Authentication".

The support representative recommended that I switch back to "PHP Mailer (recommended)" with my new web hosting package, which I did.

Thank you for the information. My hosting company claims that PHP is becoming a security risk and they no longer support that language. I might have to explore a new provider.

My settings looked like this before, see screenshot below.

If the web hosting provider insists on "SMTP authentication", the support staff should assist customers in finding the correct settings in WebSiteX5.

Hello Nick,
as Daniel mentioned, the software supports, in addition to SMTP, also Authenticated SMTP, which does require additional credentials.
These should be available to you by checking your control panel with your hosting provider or by checking in with their support, please give it a try.
