Best template to use
Author: Mark C.Hi,
I am creating a new website and want to use and purchase an existing Template and would like some advice which Template would be the best to use or would creating a Website from scratch be much better?
I am looking to create a website for Ghosts and Hauntings as we take our investigations abd research seriously and do not use any of the awful equipment or follow the format of the television shows out there as we follow strict guidelines when condicting our investigations and research.
I need to create a website that we can upload videos, audio, and photographs and need some advise regarding the best approach to take either by using an existing Template or to design the website from scratch?
If using an existing template it would need to be changed to the style we require.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to read my questions.
Kind Regards,
Mark.

Basically, it doesn't matter which template is used, because the objects for videos, audios, images and much more can be dragged into the grid of the pages on all pages.
So the selection of the template is more of a matter of taste or a point of reference if you have little feeling for design and colors.
Over the time that the project is being worked on, a lot of things are often changed, so that usually only the color combination of the template remains.
Since I have little feeling for design, I don't take an empty template, but rather a finished template and modify it to my taste.
With the templates you can also ignore the assignment to certain categories and select one from all templates.
I'm not making a suggestion for a template because the topic of "ghosts and hauntings" doesn't really fit a serious website.
Is it a belated April Fool's joke?
If you find a template with a structure that suits you, regardless of the theme, you will have to replace the images and content. If not, take a look at my website (see my profile) and see if you find something. Bye.

Hi Daniel W.
Thank you for your first comment
Have you ever heard of Parapsychology?
Parapsychology is the study the study of alleged psychic or paranormal phenomena, like telepathy, clairvoyance, precognition, and psychokinesis, that seem to go beyond known scientific laws and sensory abilities.
Survival after death including survival of consciousness which includes Ghosts and Hauntings all come under the umbrella of Parapsychology.
I can also guarantee this is not an April Fools trick and I thought I would have had something a little more constructive in regards to my question regardless of the subject, I thought I would have had more intelligent response in your second comment.

I have included a link below to show that there are serious research and investigations in the subject.

Many Thanks,

Hi Giancarlo B.
Thank you for your response and advice and I will take a look at your website as it will give me some ideas.
Many Thanks,
Mark.
When i think of ghosts and hauntings, i tend to think of something like that, see screenshot

For example, you could use the free template "High School" as a starting point and since you have to adapt a lot anyway, it wouldn't matter if it's about a school.

Hi Daniel W.
Thank you for coming back with your reply and I think 99% of people would think the same when it comes to Ghosts & Hauntings in all honesty, as you say there are so many groups and people who do not take the subject seriously and it always makes me wonder why do they have to investigate in total darkness? (This makes no sense at all)
Thank you for getting back to me with your suggestion as it is very useful and greatly appreciated.
Many Thanks,
Mark.
Hi Mark: I definitely recommend starting from scratch, as this will allow for complete creative freedom. However, a template can save time, and you can then develop the website from there.
If you're willing to spend money and want something more informative or educational, I recommend the "Virtual Tour - Museum" template. This template doesn't have a dark tone; instead, it's informative, with gallery-style pages. It's a more serious and formal style.
A museum of the paranormal? That template would be fantastic with its elegant touch.
Or you could simply use that template as a guide for the website's aesthetics.
Now, for the videos (which tend to be the largest files), I recommend using YouTube and making them private (if you wish) and embedding them so they can only be viewed within your website. I don't see much of a problem with hosting the audio files on your own server, just like with the images.
Please share the link with us once the site is online.
Regards.

Hi Miguel,
Thank you so much for the reply and also the help and suggestions as this is very welcome and will definitely take a look at the Museum Template and I have taken on board your suggestions and will look at using embedded links from YouTube.
I will definitely share the link once I have constructed the website with you.
Many Thanks,
Mark.
