Hi, I also got a problem transfering my "test" website from the free version to evo9. I go on free version - existing project - export to my stick: E:\WebSite X5 - Websites\. On evo9: edit an existing Project - import - cannot type in the first field, browsed and put a lot of things in there, nothing works. In the second field I put "E:\WebSite X5 - Websites\". What do I do wrong, please. Regards Rolf

Hello Rolf!
Here's what you have to do:
Open you free version and saveyour project. Go into your project file (it should be in the ''documents'' folder and copy your project file from there. After, please enter your Evo 9 project folder path and add your Free version project into it.
If you are not sure where this is, please open your Evo 9 and enter the ''preferences'' section (bottom left corner). On the very top you will find this path, you need to add your free version project in here.
Once this has been done, you will find it in the ''Edit an Existing project'' gallery (project selection area).
Hope this helps!

Hi Samantha, would be nice if that worked. I am busy for 2 days already, no result.
Everything I did in the free version is on a stick and in Documents. The stick is: E:\WebSite X5 - Websites.
The following folders are in there: sorry I cannot copy them here. Or I go to
C:\Users\Roman\Documents\Incomedia\WebSite X5 v9 - Free\Mineral Market\
If I put that in preferences and press OK, then I open evo9, go to preferences and there is the same path, I press OK, but it will not appear in the evo9 projects. Once it was there and it said: error in XML Document (2331, 6). Still nothing has been transfered.

Great, now the free version does not load the project anymore, even with the right path
Ok, don't worry!
I think you have to transfer the "Mineral Market" folder from
C:\Users\Roman\Documents\Incomedia\WebSite X5 v9 - Free\Mineral Market\
to
C:\Users\Roman\Documents\Incomedia\WebSite X5 v9 - Evolution\Mineral Market\.
Please try and let me know what happens. If you still get the XML Document error, your file has been damaged therefore you will have to send it to us and we will recover it for you! Please keep me informed on the result and I will let you know how to proceed.
Thank you!

Hi, I did that and it worked in sofar that it apeared now as a project in evo9.
I tried to open it twice, the first time: Mineral Market
An error occurred while loading the Project
[Object reference not set to an instance of an object]
The second time: error in XML Document (2331, 6)
next please, rolf
ok, that means that somehow it has been damaged.
Please zip your project and send it to file@answers.websitex5.com. Add my name + this post number (27986) in the email object and I will give it to our technical team. They will recover it for you.

Done, hope this works
Dear Rolf,
we are not able to open your zip file. Please send it again but remember to add my name+ this post number (27986) in the email object.
Thank you.
I have received your project Rolf, thank you!
I have now given it to our technical team therefore I will update you as soon as possible.
Our technical team has analysed your project and you are going to have to wait for the next update in order to use it correctly in your Evo 9. An error has accured during the conversion of your project and they can not fix it for you now.
The update will be released shortly.
Thank you for understanding.

i managed. don't ask me how. it actually changed the template during the process and messed it up. i changed it to the original template and everything looks ok now.
