I have upgraded my PC hardware and moved from XP to Win7. I still have my XP HDD but can't boot from it. I reinstalled Website X5 and copied my entire My Documents folder's contents including the project file and images. My problem is that my website project can't find any of the images as the My Documents folder is stored by Win7 in a different path. My website has *hundreds* of images in galleries. How can I batch update the image file paths?

many thanks,

Gary

Hi Gary!
When you change your system from windows XP unfortunately every file path changes: from your desktop, to your documents folder and so on.
If you had any image saved on your desktop or in your documents folder for example, they have now changed their file path I'm afraid, therefore webSite X5 will not be ablet  to find them anymore.
In order to avoid this, we always suggest you save your projects and your images in C:\. This position will never change your file path.

Now, you can either add your images in your project as you did the first time or you can  try to recreate the same file path as the previous one, but I am pretty sure that the first method is much better.
Thank you for understanding and please feel free to write back if you need more help!

I have the same problem and cant find the way to make able this path in windows 7, I rather to changer everything to C: so this position will never affect again any website, I guess you need to make this recomdation in order to avoid this problem.
