Google WebMaster Central control Metatag

I saw several people asking about this but I always see that you said how to put the data like "go to advanced tab and put the code there" but never saw someone specifying exactly how to get that code
I registered to Google Webmaster and Google Analytics. About Analytics I got a HTML file which I uploaded to the site and then was linked so the site is verified... I don´t know if that is working or not, I am not really sure. I don´t see visits in the report at all.
About metatag, I open www.google.com/webmasters, go to Webmaster Tools. I already have the site listed. If I go to Manage site menu I only have "Add or remove users", "Google Analytics property" and "Delete site". I don´t know where can I get that meta tag code. Could you please guide me with precise steps about that?

These are two different places on the internet... so if you uploaded a file you was in Google Webmaster Tools. This also lets you know wether your site is verified or not??

Google Analytics is separate and you have to be registered with Google for both anyhow. The Analytics code if Asychronous goes into General Settings/Expert/Head and not inside the body!!
