Menu height and picture mask  en

Hello, Today I started a liitle project with new version of X5 (now I have Evolution v 9) and I noticed two bugs (?), in any case two things that work differently in version v9 than v8. First thing is a menu height. Why in v9 I can't define menu height as 0? In v8 it was possible... Second things is a picture mask. I think that in v9 mask in second row, first from the left works improperly.

Please take a look at this picture:

This is a mask prepared with version 8.

And now the same picture trimmed with version 9:

As you can see picture has a partial "border" or "shadow".
Could you correct these issues, pls?

Thanx in advance,

Marcin

Clarification: In case with menu it's not a problem with height. I checked behavior of the program in a situation when I select menu color as "transparent". In v8 menu is transparent. In v9 - menu is white. Please, correct.
Despite that I bought the upgrade to v9, I have to return temporarily to the old version.

Regards,
Marcin

Hi Marcin, yes probably there's a 1px column to be removed. I'll pass this info so we can fix it. Yes, the menu height must be bigger than 0! Wink

Hi Steve, what about menu color? It's possible to create real "transparent" menu instead of "White"? In Version 8, I cant create a transparent menu. In version 9 - I can't create them...

Hello! I simply fixed that mask. There was a 1px black at the right of it. I attach here the file you can use. If you want you can also overwrite the old file present in the installation folder under \Res\Mask.

@Marcin: I'm not sure what you mean... simply set a transparent background color for the buttons Undecided

Steve, simply take a look:
This is page rendered with Evolution v8: http://dobry-kominiarz.com.pl/incomedia/v8.jpg
Menu settings: http://dobry-kominiarz.com.pl/incomedia/menuv8.jpg

An now, the same page rendered with Evolition 9 http://dobry-kominiarz.com.pl/incomedia/v9.jpg
Menu settings: http://dobry-kominiarz.com.pl/incomedia/menuv9.jpg

I can see that is result of "different layer location". In v8 "menu" layer is placed on "page" layer. In v9 "menu" layer is placen directly on "background", between "header" and "page".

So, this is a bag or a feature? ;)
For me, this is a problem, because I have a lot of little, "one page" services, and sometimes I need to correct or edit someting. Different behavior of V9 means thaht I need to re-design each page (or still use the old version).

Best Regards,
Marcin

Hello, v9 uses a different layout respect v8 even because of HTML5 and CSS.

Please note that your solution is not correct. You just need to enter the same background image you used for the content for the menu also! Tongue out
