No email confirmation after editing payment type V9  en

When I edit a payment type and add instructions into email field it will not generate a confirmation email to myself or the customer when I leave this field blank it works perfectly. I want to add instructions IE bank transfer details who to make cheques payable to etc how do I do this

What is the text you are going to insert? Maybe it contains not allowed characters.

The text I wanted to insert was

Halifax Bank PLC

Sort Code xx-xx-xx

Acc Num xxxxxxxxxxxx

Please include your order number as payment Ref

Once the transfer is fully complete your goods will be despatched within 24hrs
