I have Evolution 9 and have set up an e-commerce site (www.brilliant-beads.co.uk). When I do test orders, I receive funds, but no order e-mail. How do I know when someone has ordered something?

Hello Faith,

Could you please verify that you set the correct email address where you want to receive the order in step 4 -> shopping cart -> Customer details ?

If your address is the right one you can try to change the email script in step 0 -> preferences -> email form script type, you can choose Low quality server script or low-level script, rember that each time you change the script type you need to export the site to verify whether it solves your problem.

Keep me updated, thank you

Hi Michele,

Thanks for your advice - however, I'm sorry to say I doesn't seem to have worked.

My e-mail adress is right in Step 4 --> Shopping cart. In fact I've tried all three types of e-mail scripts with two different e-mail addresses, exporting the site, and doing a test order to verify. Nothing is coming through.

I've also talked to my web-hosting company, and everything seems to be ok on their side of things.

Any other ideas?

Thanks for your help.

Also, to follow that, customers don't get confirmation e-mails either.

Thanks.

Hello Faith,

I tried to make a sample purchase in your site but the payment options avaible is only paypal, and I'm not able to test the email without accomplish the payment.

Could you please add a "bank transfer" method on your site just for testing purpose?

Maybe, even better, you could try to make an other simple site with just an email form on it and test whether the email works from it.

Keep me updated, thank you

Hi Michele,

I spoke to Frank from Franks Cyber Cafe, and with remote assistace, he was able to establish that the problem was that my webhosting didn't provide PHP, a simple switch to the Linux version of my package has fixed the problem.

Partially my fault, partiall web hosters not making it clear which package I needed...

Thanks for you help though.

Take care.
