Using guestbook for comments on pages  en

So I understand there is no forum included in the program. I'm trying to figure out a way around it, still using WSX5 and not switching to something else. I want people to be able to leave comments on any of my pages, but comments on different topics. Can I use the guestbook on my pages, will they contain different comments, or is there just one guestbook for the entire site? Sorry for the long explanation and question.

Hello Denis,

you can have a different guestbook on every pages if we wish, just put the Guestbook widget inside every page you want and set a different folder for every guestbook.

Hope this helps

Thanks for your reply.  It helps knowing I can use it but I don't understand how to use it.  Do I need to create a sql database and then direct the public folder path to the database?  Or do I need to create a comments folder in my directory and then direct the public folder path /comments?  Thanks for your help, wish there was more online explanation for guestbooks.

Hello Denis,

the guestbook doesn't use any database, you simply need to specify the folder on your server where you want your comments will be stored, in addition you can specify a different folder for each guestbooks so you can keep the comments seperated.

You don't need to create manually any folder, just specify them of the relative text box in WebsiteX5 and the software will create them for you.

Hope this helps
