I want to tell to you about my  operational experience with Incomedia 9, the site http://dopotopa.com 1000 pages.

I have solved to look at 1 page of the project without its modification. I have switched on (activated) Incomedia 9. 

1)  Initialization has occupied 3 minutes. Tolerable

2) I have selected the necessary page and pushed «View» button. After that something was  created within approximately 1 hour. At this time practically anything (including "Word") did not work. I have gone to drink tea.

3) After that I have pushed a red crosslet to close Incomedia 9. The program began to build(more likely not to build, and to rewrite already existing file) a project file.  1 hour more.

4) For hack value I have entered Incomedia 9 once again  to  look at the same page.

This time all was even more difficult. After initialization of the project the program began to create the project file. It took 1 hour again. To work at this time not only on Incomedia, but on the computer it was impossible.

For reasons given I have come to a conclusion that Incomedia 9 designed  not for 10 000, and rather not for 1 000 pages, and a maximum for 10-20 pages. I would be grateful to producers for up-dating release to Incomedia 8 that it would be possible to make 2000 or 3000 pages on it. It works as a lightning - in 100 - or rather 1000 times more faster than Incomedia 9. I create on it up to 20 pages per day. However, hyperlinks longly register. It is a great minus? and Incomedia 9 - plus

One more experience. I have tried to change the contention of several pages and their arrangement. I have pressed the key "Save". The project saved about 40 minutes. Then at once (I did not do anything else ) I have closed the program. Before an exit the project file was created again about 1 hour. For what it was created 2  times in succession? After all I changed nothing.

And still the big minus of the program. The big pages, especially with considerable quantity of hyperlinks, are badly opened and closed in Incomedia 9. After each action (something to print, erase etc.) the program long hangs (glitchs). To work on it it is very difficult.
Besides, the working field "text" often jumps - the right border move beyond view

WebsiteX5 needs to recreate all the pages only the first time you open the preview,then it should refresh only the page you have made changes on. Remember to save your project once made some changes otherwise the software doesn't know you made it.

You have a site with a lot of pages and if the program takes a while to create your pages I guess is quite normal, it may depends on several factors like the the spcifications of your PC (cpu, ram, ecc..).

Finally I can suggest you to let the software create all the pages of your project and then save it, WebsiteX5 should recreate only the changes you make from that point on.

It writes something all the time when I use it

I am ready to wait an hour and even two, but not by each pressing of buttons "Show" and "Save". Why at an exit from the program it save the project, and at an input in it it  starts to save it again? Why at a new exit from the program, even if I have not made any changes, it again starts to save the project. After all changes was not done! Each time it take about an hour.

And how not to allow the programm to do it? In Incomedia 8 there was  possibility of choice - to look through and save all project or one page. And in Incomedia 9 (at least that version which at my computer -  Russian one) such possibility is not present.

I have continued to test Incomedia 9. I have found out the following.

 1) At recording of a project the program consumes from 700 to 900 mbt of memory of the computer. And it writes always. Incomedia 8 at recording  of a project consumes from 30 to 50 mbt of memory of the computer, that is in 20 times less!!! Moreover, I use it for record 1-2 times per month.

Conclusion: it is necessary to improve Incomedia 9 that it would make changes, showes and saves (kept changes) PAGE BY PAGE (without record of all project every time).

  2) I have tried to work at Incomedia 9 in "a blind mode" - without show and saving of pages. Small pages are corrected normally. And big pages, type http://www.dopotopa.com/soderzhanie_razdela_ischeznuvshie_obitateli_zemli-1.html are not.

The program practically does not work on them. Printing or deleting of one symbol leads to that the program "hangs". Flashing, a working field begins "disappears for horizon".

 The general wish: to Return to Incomedia 9 generator (slide, runner, engine) from Incomedia 8 which is really very good and high-Q program. 

Incomedia 9 besides is not very stable yet. Once I really managed to close it without saving of the project (I did not make any changes), however, at change of one letter on one page  it begins all over again about what I have written above. Saving of the project file which takes about an hour.
I write to you not to criticize the program and for the purpose of it became really first class and convenient for work. I am much obliged to manufacturers. My site is well ranged.
I work almost every day an hour in the evening - in this time  I created on Incomedia 8 one-three new pages and uploaded them from the temp folder to the server (through the FTP-client). It is the extremely inconvenient for me to wait an hour while the program will create a file of the project and still an hour while it will keep changes in that file. And does folder existed, in which temporary files are stored to upload them to the server? (only 1, 2, 3, 4 pages)

Related to your last question I think you can find the temp directory you are talking about looking at the address bar in the preview browser.

One more problem. The program doesn't record a project file (for transferring to another computer) in any directory. Inspect the attached file. But it records the site to any directory  very quickly, for 15 min instead 30-40 min on Incomedia 8. It is very well. I wish you success

And what about my other question about a possibility to write Html-code on photo?

Would you provide an opportunity to put copyright on foto without watermarks and prohibition of copying?

For the last question I understood and thank you again for the suggestion.

Related to the error while trying to create the project file it seems the software is trying to write in a protected memory, please try to change the folder where you want to export your project, you can also try to execute WebsiteX5 with administrator privileges (right click on the software icon -> run as administrator). If it still doesn't work you can try to uninstall the software and reinstall it with administrator privileges.

"If it still doesn't work" - not any folder. I can't also to write the project to any folder exept  "my document" on disc C where the program write the project rather without  my permission every time.

I am an administrator of PC and it is no necessity to me point it. But I will try.

Some more information.

I have continued to work with Incomedia 9. As a whole, an idea of manufacturers is good. From time to time all passes smoothly. But at change at least one point of the menu the program starts to write down the project anew , to make a noise and buzz. Sometimes the program starts to do it after any internal error at opening of pages.
I confirm a necessity of inclusion of function of record and save of changes paginally.
The main problem remains - it is almost impossible to work on big pages.

I managed to repaired about 50 pages from 1000. Repair of big pages - is real torment and take a lot of hours ( each page). SOS!

After updating to last version old problems began and the program began to work more-less normally after 3 recording of the hole project with zero (500 mbt - 1,2 Gbt of PC resourses had been consumed). The first time it couldn't record the project for all night. Re-loading of PC is necessary after the last updating.

There is no TEMP folder for recording of changes in Inc.9. It means that I can't  upload only 1-10 pages from 1000 and every time it will demand a lot of time for uploading

every time you update WebsiteX5, it needs to upload again the whole project but this is only for the first time after every update. If you save it the next times you can upload only the changes you made. 

Regarding running the program as Administrator, I can tell you that with Windows it doesn't matter if you are an Admin of your system, you still need to run the program in this way.

One more problem. I have bought  a Netbook to do the site not only at home, but also in other places. With Incomedia 8 all were as it should be - I copied the project folder and last photos on USB flash drive (3-5 minutes) and then copied this data on other computer from it. This procedure continued less than 10 minutes.
I have tried the same procedure with Incomedia 9. Record of folder "Incomedia" on USB flash drive took about a half an hour. Record of this folder from USB flash drive on/to other computer - approximately as much. Imagine! I need to do these procedures twice per day. At first at carrying over of the information from one computer to another, and then on the contrary. And so every day. There is no time to work with the site.

The same problem with uploading the site on a server.

I am waiting with impatience  for cardinal updating of the program. For now I ask to solve prime essential problems.

1) the big pages (not depending from a number of pages of the site), for example,

open very slowly in the project, long hang after change of one sign, that is to work with them - the present torture.

 2) yesterday the page

simply hang up. No buttons were pressed. It was necessary to use CRL-ALT-DEL to leave the program. As a result of it the work of the whole day has not remained (saved). Interestingly here still that. After an emergency exit from the program the pages were displayed correctly, and changes in the project have not remained. 

3) yesterday I have also faced the following problem. Button SAVE (project) was not pressed. As a result after an exit from the project the made changes have not remained (saved). Now I am compelled to check all made corrections for 3 months of work. Who knows,  have they remained?

 There are other problems but they are not so essential.

1)       Not successful suite of basic colours (in Inc. 8 – much more successful)

2)       No 11 font (only 10 and 12), 11 is a basic font

3)       A project is created only in “My document” folder

And some other little imperfections

One more problem. Very often, when I print the project text, and pass from  viewing  of the project to viewing of the created page (or some other document), and then back, the project text go beyond a window field. So as to force it  to place again  in the field of a window, it is necessary to leave the project of a page and anew to open  it. Sometimes it takes  5 minutes and more

Related to your questions:
for the first three unfortunately my answer is still the same and it's related to the size of the project and the resources of the pc, the fact that the software hangs or crashes means that the operating system cannot manage to accomplish its work with the software and this could be matter of the software or the operating system itself.

For the minor questions:
1)if you mean the color of the text in the text object, you can choose every color you want and not only some basic colors.
2)You can also set the size of the text to whatever you wish, just write the size manually.  
3)You can change the location where you projects are stored in, you need to go in the "preferences" in the first window that appear after having launched WebSite X5 and you will see where to set it.

Finally, I don't know if I well undestood the last question but I guess it's a behaviour of the operating system caused, again, by the lack of resources avaible it has (here the reasons should be the same as we discussed before).
