Problem: W3C validation error  en

Hello. I was testing my site www.g-pagomenos.com with some SEO tools. A report was generated stating the points I should pay particular attention at. A section of this report reported errors, and a recommendation to check it out with a Markup Validation Service:

HTML validation of web page to W3C standards

Slightly Important

Web pages are written in special languages called HTML and CSS. Like any language, HTML and CSS change constantly. The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) is the governing body that establishes what is valid HTML/CSS and what is not. Search engines obey the HTML/CSS standard. If there are errors in the HTML/CSS code of your web page, then search engines might not be able to read everything of your web page.

Validation results:

Validity HTML: 12 errors, not valid

http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http://www.g-pagomenos.com/

CSS: no errors, valid

http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validator?uri=http://www.g-pagomenos.com/

Advice regarding the validity of your web site:

The HTML code validation of your web page www.g-pagomenos.com failed. This means that Google.com (without Places) might not be able to read your web page. You should fix any HTML errors.

More specifically the validation output of W3C Markup Validation Service, reported 12 errors and one warning. One can see the errors from the link I listed above. I use WebsiteX5 as described in the manual. I am not a web designer, I don’t know anything about html code, and have not added any code into the pages. However chances are I have done something I should not do. Will you please let me know what these errors are all about and how I can correct them?

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Best regards

Hello,

I checked the validation and your code. Many errors come from the name of your pages. Don't use spaces for naming. For example : "bride & groom.html" is not a good name. Use "bride_and_groom.html" instead.

This will validate your website's code. WebsiteX5 generates clean and good code.

After modifying your pages name removing the spaces, you will have only one error for which you can do nothing because it's about loging at "users2.smartgb.com" (line 323, column 81).

Hope this helps

Sam
