Problem opening project.

I have a problem opening a project in X5 Evolution 9. What I did was ; while I was opening the project I had the bright idea that I should look for recent upgrades to the program. So while it was still loading, I opened the program again and clicked on the upgrade button.
Since then I get the message that my project was not shut down properly and given the option to cancel or proceed. When I proceed the project tries to load but at around 70% the computer automatically shuts down. Is there any way I can open my project?

There is a solution for your issue. Try to follow these steps:
Open the Folder Documents and there you should find a folder called Incomedia.
Inside the folder Incomedia there will be a websitex5 folder. Open this folder and search the folder with the corrupted project.
Inside this folder you will find different files. The one that we need is called backup.iwprj
Delete the other files and after you are done rename the file backup.iwprj to project.iwprj
When you are done with this open WebsiteX5 and you will find your project with another icon.
Open it and click yes to all alerts.
