Beta Update Looking Ok
Author: Nigel W.The beta update SEEMS to be solving some of the major issues.
I have had a long string of commentary with Steve at Incomedia and I HOPE we can publish it all eventually as it will show progressions of thought that are sometimes missed in threads.
The "saving" issues for big sites, like mine and presumably similar issues for ALL of us, seem to have been rectified to a large extent, although it's early days and I only wanted to test that aspect.
I'm not sure the Preview mode is linking correctly in all aspects, such as menu items not being the same as those in the site map (words missing), although there may be a letter limitation here, which has not been pointed out.
Anyway...just to say...that from anger and frustration, I am now feeling a little calmer about what the update should bring! Lol!
Any more beta testers got any comments?
Best wishes

ADDENDUM
I have to underline that, although my basic testing of the "beta" showed better things from an editing point of view, I am realizing that Evolution 9 has NOT been built for the production of PROPER web sites i.e. those that have substantial pages!
It is IMPOSSIBLE to EXPORT and create a IWZIP file...(what a blinking nonsense when mine would be over 4gb...if it WORKED, which it doesn't!)
You have to save your WHOLE PC DIRECTORY STRUCTURE, JUST ABOUT, TO ENSURE YOUR WORK STAYS INTACT!"
What a nonsense!
What other software does silent saving, overloads your system so you don't know whether it's saved or not, gives you a choice of how many processes you use....(uhhhhhh?) and then sends you weird messages that your software needs reinstalling when you click on a cell, thinking that the "SAVE" has finished?
Willyou all PLEASE PLEASE pester Incomedia staff to re-introduce the "EXPORT/BATCH" choice, where EVEN MY FILES only took SEVEN minutes to be saved and everything was in one place and the process was a doddle???
