Hello,

Do exist some macros to extract content from the e-commerce module ? For example : on regular web pages to insert a price only or description only ?

So it could be possible to manage e-commerce information in one place only ?

Thanks,

Sam

Hello Sam,

Could you please describe better what you mean? You want to show the content of the e-commerce made with WebSite X5 also on other external websites?

Hello Claudio,

Thanks for your reply. I don't want to show the content on other external websites but would like to know if some macros can be used inside WebsiteX5 and shared between the e-commerce module and standard WebsiteX5's pages.

My need is this one : for some products, I have to create a standard page to provide detailed information. On those pages, I have to provide a price. The price is actually stored inside the e-commerce module. But for stylish reasons I don't want to insert a "list of products" widget.

I wondered if some macro tags already exist to extract parts of the e-commerce database to be able to put them in the HTML code that WebsiteX5 generates.

For example :  %item=11%price% to extract only the price of the item 11 without the quantity and shopping cart that the "list of products" widget provides.

Of course, I am already able to put the price of my articles inside my long standard page by simply typing it. More, I can put a "add to cart" link in those pages.  But when prices change, I will have to open all my standard pages to modify their prices. If the information came from one centralized place : the e-commerce module it could be as simple as using the e-commerce module only for a shop.

Regards,

Sam
