Unable to register 9C  en

I am unable to register 9C. I keep getting a error "It was not not possible to connect to the Incomedia Server." I did a search on the forum and I found the answers very vague and incomplete. I do have internet access and I have turned off my firewall and antivirus. I followed the instructions to log onto websitex5.com using my email address I am trying to register with and go to my profile/My Licences and I don't see any code other than my license key. I do not see an unlock code.

Here is an update. I ran Wireshark on the packet stream when running the activation process and I see it fails with an error "417 Expectation failed" If this helps. I still can't use this software. Can anyone help?

You can see only product key, thats correct.
I see, you have V9 activ, or have you also v9 on another pc or older pc.
When you start the program, what happen.

Have you before played with the demo version?

I had the demo version loaded on the same machine. When I got the full version I just tried to install it. Should I have unninstalled it instead?

Yes, you must unistall all versions v9.

Then delete the folder:

%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Incomedia !!!!
%PROGRAM FILES%\WebSite X5 v9 - Evolution.

First then install the V9.

Hello Little-key

I uninstalled V9 comp and removed the folders "Website X5 V9 Free" and V9 Compact". I also checked the registry and removed any WebsiteX5 entries. I then reinstalled V9 Compact and I am still getting the same error. I read in the forums that the unlock code can be viewed in my profile somehow but I don't see anything but the license key.

No, you can see the product key only.

Have you deleted the folder in userprofile also? This folder are hidden.
Must search under start...
This is very important to delete.

I can activate a info to Incomedia.

I modified folder options to show "hidden files and folders" and "system folders". I then ran a search with the options to search in "System folders", Hidden files and folders", and "subfolders" for the phrase "userprofile". Couldn't find anything.

Hello Little-key

I resolved the issue. Looks like the web proxy cache on my hardware firewall was trying to reload cached data. I turned off the proxy and cleared the cache. All fixed! I was able to activate my software.
