linking to pdf files on my pc.
Can someone walk me through linking a page to a pdf file so that the details of my pdf file shows on that web page I am creating.
I created a page with a text object, entered a title for the file to be linked and created the link to the pdf file on my computer.
When I preview the program the link showing at the bottom indicates that it is looking for a html formatted file and not my pdf format.

You can not link to files on your computer. You must put the file on your server and link to them there.

This a pdf file... but it lives on the server.
PDF can be shown in a webpage if you use the PDF widget to display them AND if your visitors have Acrobat Reader (which is free) installed on their PC.
I use this function and it works fine.
You can also use the link function, as suggested.
