Ftp Grey Out/get Directory Timeout  en

FTP problem cannot get directory and log shows a time out. Since the FTP module is dependent on getting the directory for ie partial update (files created since last update. I have found that I get a greyed out screen not responding. The problem was not there on V9 1966 in the beginning but the larger my site gets the grander the FTP problem. I have attempted to envoke the directory manually but get the same response. I have spoken to our site manager and he has looked at the log and indeed it issues a timeout due not no activity. So is the grey out missing the boat when it comes to seeing the directory image of files? This is a major problem, we have rechecked all firewall settings, disabled virus checking, disabled other start up programs. Resources indicate it is not a memory or processing problem V9 indicates not responding on resources. Website file 152Mb - end file size will be 350Mb once complete - if we will ever get there at this rate.

Performed a registry fix and it seems not only to have sorted the ftp out but also the not responding problem in V9 ...1966. Now let see if it remains that way.

After multiple tests ...yes this is defintely works. I have also noticed that I no longer get no response - everything works faster, better and without hiccups. Will this solve your problem ....maybe! The trouble is that registries change often, it maybe a removal of an app or program, it may even be a result of Microsoft upgrades but in my analysis, this did the trick, a registry fix. If you are looking for a registry fix program try CNET site.
