Discrepancy in titles of pages in Inc.8 and Inc.9

About a half a year I remaked the site http://dopotopa.com of 1000 pages from Incomedia 8 to Incomedia 9. It was a very much hard work, first of all, because large pages open up to 10 minutes and more, and editing even one mark in them result in "hang" (hanging) the PC up 3-5, sometimes 20 minutes.
Nevertheless, the new version of the site is almost ready now. However, difficulties have not ended.
1) Incomedia 8 cut titles of pages, and Incomedia 9 give them in full. In result I have discrepancy in titles of approximately 300 pages. What I have to do - to cut new titles by hand or   to produce redirections? How to produce redirections - in ".htaccess" file fo earh page from 300?
2)  Incomedia 9 has the other structure of folders and other titles of some folders. What it is necessary to do, that search robots discovered demanded files?
3) Incomedia 8 maintains Russian titles of graphic files, and Incomedia 9 does not. Therefore all files with Russian titles have turned to line bars. I have changed titles of photographs to English ones by hand. But there are yet technical files of buttons of the menu which are presented now by line bars too. Will  search robot find them?
4) What folders have to be open and what folders have to be closed in "robot.txt" file?

And extra-guestion. I have found today that you test Incomedia 10. Peharps it will decide all the questions. And I am afraid of uplouding new version of the renewed site now. Could I reformate it in Incomedia 10 without a loss of such great period of time as now (a half a year)?

I have forgotten to ask two more questions:

1) Captions of graphic files in Incomedia 8 begin with small letters, and Incomedia 9 - with capital letters. Couldn't it reflect somehow in the result of indexing or summons of pictures by robots?

2) I as before can't record the project. The window appeares that other memory is busy. It is very important for me becouse I need that all links trace from one place, not from different place as now

Hello Alexander,

It is better to have the full title because the title is what appears on search engines. If you upload the converted project it's better to delete the previous project on the server and then upload the new project to avoid to have doubled pages. You can also add a 301 redirect in the HTML Code to all old pages where you redirect to the new website.

The search engines robots discovers automatically the images when they are analysing the pages.

About the robots.txt you need to close the folders oyu don't want to appear in search engines.

Yes if you convert the projects from Version 9 to 10 is really fast and the projects will not need a long time to be adapted since the most part are similar and the program takes car of converting them to the new version without loosing the style you added previously.

The captcha letters are not relevant for search engines and they will not increase or decrease the position.

In Version 10 all the files are automatically moved in one place so that you don't need to keep them. The program will take them in a internal project library to avoid that images get's accidentally deleted or are moved. This avoids the image generation error.

If you require any further information, please feel free to write back.

Thank you

"You can also add a 301 redirect in the HTML Code to all old pages where you redirect to the new website".

Do you mean redirect to all pages with modified titles (for earch of them) or to all old pages by mean of some record in ".htaccess" file?

"About the robots.txt you need to close the folders oyu don't want to appear in search engines".

I have meant what folders have to be indexed and what folders have not to be indexed?

And can I decide the problem with record a project?

Hello Alexander,

Yes I mean to redirect all pages with changed title to the new ones by adding a redirect code in every page.

the folder that has not to be indexed is up to you. WebSite X5 has not folder that needs to be hidden but if you don't want that a part is indexed you write it in the robots.txt file.

Many thanks!

Thank you too. I have found one more a very great problem. File "top" in Style folder. I created it myself. In inc.8 it was jpg-file about 150 kbt and I every time when downloading the site optimized it to 43 kbt. Now it became bmp file 370 kbt. I optimized it in jpg 43 kbt. But after it my site became without "top". It is very strange because I also optimized earlier "bottom"-file and "bg"-file. Bg -file is jpg now and have a size as if after my optimization, "botton" file became bmp-file and it is in 2 times more light than it was after my optimization (7 kbt, it was 15 kbt).

It is strictly necessary for me to find decision for minimization "top" file to 43 kbt!!! (update Inc.9 or decision for me personally/ I can optimized file only to jpg, but site don't work with it.)

Send you also screenshot of menu folder. Is it not critical for search robots such names of files? I can't rename it myself

Next letter - attachment of "top"file (can you deminish it to 43 kbt?)

Hello Alexander,

You created the file as jpg or png file?

How do you add it in the project? Can you please explain me the steps?

I saw on your webiste that it's loading the top.jpg file.

Many thanks!

Yes, I created it as jpeg-file 150 kbt and then optimized it t0 43 kbt and every time upload optimized file manually. Inc.9 reformatted it in png-file. Our designer have deminished it to 102 kb. If you can more it would be good.

Hello Alexander,

Have you tried to activate the function "Save as JPG image" like in the picture in attachment?

I tested it with this option activated and it was not converted to png.

Please let me know if this helps.

Tnank you, I think I overlooked (missed) it. I will try, but the problem will be decided only partly. I have now remembered that my original file (optimized jpg.) - 43 kb, and Inc.8 every time turned it to 150 kbt. That's why I had every time to change the files.

You didn't give me a hint how I can save the project file. Every time a saving of the project failed with inscription that other memory is busy - in any directory.

I want to try Inc/10 and to see  neatness of conversion of my pages. I hope it will be no need to create ".htaccess" file with redirection of 400 pages as this time. I also hope that Russian letters will not turn to chinese hieroglyphs as this time at that without regularity. Send me the link to testing downloading, please. I have already placed  my request

Hello Alexander,

About the hint to save the project, if you get the message of the busy memory you can try to run WebSite X5 as Administrator and also check if there are other programs runnig in background that occupies the memory and deactivate them if not necessary.

Please check if the functions "Save as JPG Image" helps you.

If you enrolled in the Beta Testing Program you will need to wait to get the invitation email whci will be sent in chronological order of the request because every day only a limited number of tester is invited. It will take some days until you get invited.

Many thanks!

Thank you again.  I  will try just now to run WebSite X5 as Administrator and let you know about results.

"Save as JPG Image" are really help me but the created file was 102 kbt and I manually optimized it to 42,5 kbt.

I successfully uploded the new version of the site on the server tomorrow night. Look http://dopotopa.com . Redidect 301 are working. But it is strange enough but one image on home page is absent. I uploaded it and home page to the server 3 times. What can be the reason?  I have seen at least one more absent image on other pages.

The site is now better and quicker. gzip  compresses pages in 4-4,5 time (earlier only in 2,5 time). Now my compressed pages are up 10 to 30 kbt. It's wonderful. But all the same they open more longer than in some other sites. Especially in Int. Expl.

But the problems of different imaging of pages in different browsers, to my mind,  remained and rather became more striking. Espesially in Mozilla. See my home page and second page and you will see. I hope it will help you to improve the program. I am eager to download beta-version, reformat pages and uploaded them on a server for test to see.

I ask you to add in Inc.10 Tahoma 11 font. It's very important for me. Thank you.

I once again tested the upgraded site in Mozilla, Chrom, Opera, Internet Explorer. In whole, it works pretty well, my apologies. Only in Chrom dark brown background appears at first, and after 0.5 -1.5 seconds - the rest pictures. In Internet Explorer the top picture and sometimes buttons menu appears with 1-2 seconds delay (I have 20 Mbt/sec Internet). Yesterday I once more experimented with the texts under the pictures on the home page, trying to adjust them to all browsers. They became a little better when aligning to the left than to the center as I had at the beginning. But the difference in reflection of the content still remains. The font were a bit to be reduced in the  tables to remain the same.

The problem with the picture is solved. On the next reuploading of the home page 7 images have disappeared from it. This is due to the fact that the links were coming from different places to the same photo. In 8 versions it worked. In version 9 it doen't work. The program renames the photos. They are reflected in the site on PC, but when they be uploded in Internet, pictures disappear. I renamed pictures and removed duplicates and all worked.

Hello Alexander,

Yes the program rernames the fotos since in every page they can have a different size and they are automatically optimized and so to avoid duplicates they are renamed. The fonts you see in thep program are the ones that are installed in your computer. If you have Tahome then it shoudl appear. Try to install it again and then check if the next time you start the program you can find it.

If you require any further information, please feel free to write back.
