Lots of page corruptions now on publication  en

I am noticing strange page corruptions on re-publishing pages!

For example, you will see that on the following link the right-hand image is covered by the text box, although in preview mode, everything appears to be fine!

(I've also noticed that in "FireFox" many of the adverts and slide shows are not showing!)

What thwe heck's happening here?

I had a similar thing happen yesterday and I had to create an entirely new page to replace the corrupted one.

I haven't time to wait for a reply so I redid the text cell.

OK...the text cell is in the right place now but the beveled ".png" I use is not visible!

Now...here's a strange thing!

I rang two friends up to view that particular page and both of them saw NO BEVELED SURROUND to the text cell I refer to!

This morning, I look again and it has corrected itself on the serverBest,!

What do you reckon is going on here?

Best,

Nigel

ANOTHER update is corrupting this evening...

http://www.hampsteadheath.net/record-2.html

You will see a box of text about halfway down the page with a small newspaper image on its right. The right hand side of the text box is OVER another picture image.

Would you please answer this string???

Another update.

Page now ok overnight.

Would you think my server is not allowing the files to update properly or delaying the process?

What's your take on this Incomedia?

Got another one and I can now give you a screen shot (see enclosed).

It will correct itself, I know, overnight...BUT WHAT IS THE CODE DOING to cause all this?

Hello Nigel,

Can you please check with a new project where you simulate the issue by exporting it and then updating it with a new export to see if it depends on the project or on the server?

If it should not happen to the new project try to remove the google ads code to test if it could depend on it.

Please keep me updated!

Hi Claudio...

I created a new project and uploaded a one-page site to a folder underneath the root of my server space.

It had two photographs (image cell) and a long banner type Google Ad.

It published correctly.

I then took away the Google Ad and moved the photos around and re-published. This time there was corruption and a blank long space where the Google Ad had been.

I then reintroduced a smaller rectangular Google Ad, changed one of the photographs and re-published. The Google Ad did not appear (the long space was still present from the previous Google cell) and the left hand photograph was clipped at its righthand side and a space between the two photos was present, whereas I had not edited a space between them.

All very strange.

Go Daddy Faults are sure the problem must originate from the coding but I don't know why this phenomenon has only started within recent weeks.

To remind you...any corruption either disappears by creating a fresh page or if left the corruption has disappeared by the next day.

Hello Nigel,

It could depend on an option to cache content on the server to save time while loading the page and this could mix the new content to the cached copy. Probably there is a setting to disable it.

Hope this helps!

Well stated!

Fortunately, I also got a GoDaddy technician who specialises in servers and he confirms your theory.

I have only recently had the option of this extra speed from download time but I think that I will keep it unless publishing becomes too much of a problem.

I am pleased that it doesn't appear to be a problem with Websitex5 coding, which was my main concern.
