I do not understand i can not see an advantage in setting up the program for CMS system ..? I have unfortunately had to choose another program for most of my customer sites. Many of my clients will often change on one of the pages themselves ..! I believe 100% that there is a good deal for Incomedia in to get updated program. We write, after all, 2013 Hope this time can see the idea is good, and not still consider this as you wrote here in 2011 ...!!!! Vh Karsten Langer

Hello Karsten,
Incomedia looks particularly after customer satisfaction, and our developers are working every day to add new functionality to the software and improve the ones already present thanks to the reports made by the users of WebSite X5.
Many thanks!
Hello Karsten Langer, hello Claudio,
Here is my own experience: you can use CMS to modify parts of your site. I do it easily. I tested Pulse CMS, SiteCake and Adobe Contribute 6.5.
It's simple: you create your pages either by inserting HTML blocks with the PHP include sentence and publish your pages with the .php extension (Pulse CMS) or you insert the code that allows the modification of the block (Contribute or SiteCake).
My opinion is that WebSite X5 is the best desktop CMS. It enables everyone to publish their site with powerful features. When you want to let the possibility of online content editing it is possible but in this case you must accept to depart from the standard features of the software. But this small change is still possible.
Hello Samuel,
Can I ask you how you managed to use Sitecake in WSX5? I tried to follow the instructions mantioned in this site about Sitecake, but unfortunately I couldnt make it function.
Hello,
Could you please tell me where you had a problem since I had any following the instructions. You probably noticed that your pages must have the .php extension.
Secondly, you will have to insert the "php include" sentence in the top of each editable page. You do this in Part 2, "Page properties", "Advanced" and by inserting the code "before the HTML tag".
Third, in your page you have to insert a HTML bloc where you want your content to be editable. Inside this bloc you insert the <div> sentence. I usually put some <br> between the <div> and </div> tags to have some space in the page.
And you connect in admin mode by calling the pagehttp://yourdomain.com/index.php?login
If you got any error, I have to say it was just my experience and they are a lot of CMS like this to test by yourself :-)
Elenco la mia procedura:
- ho scaricato il file, creato la cartella e l'ho esportata con filezilla;
- ho creato una pagina di prova e nella propietà della pagina, sezione esperto, ho cambiato l'estensione del file generato in php; poi ho inserito prima del tag <HTML>:
<?Php include "/obus.altervista/contatti/pagina-prova.php";?>
- nella pagina ho inserito un oggetto HTML con all'interno il codice:
<div class="sc-content-editable"> </ div>
I can open the page but is empty...there isn't cms....
Attenzione,
ENG :
Be careful,
The include is the path to the directory where SiteCake is located and not your page's URL.
It is the path from your root directory. In the example provided : <?php include "sitecake/server/sitecake_entry.php"; ?>
means that the sitecake's folder is under the root directory. Check and you would see that it includes a "server" directory where the PHP page "sitecake_entry.php" exists.
It should solve your problem.
Ok, I write <?Php include "sitecake / server / sitecake_entry.php";?> but don't solve my problem
Excuse me, the editor inserted some spaces in the PHP include sentence, there is no space between the word "sitecake" and the /. Nor between the / and the word "server", etc.
If this won't work, sorry, I have no more idea since I never got any problem. Perhaps could you try any other editor, there are a lot of around us.
Nothing to do ... I redid everything from scratch but does not work ... this cms was perfect for my project, I did not find similar ...
thanks anyway for the help!
