406 Error During Update

When I try to update the software I receive a "406 error". It tells me to close all programs and try again. The only programs running are my firewall and antivirus. Does this mean to update I need to drop my internet protection for your updater to function?
If so your installer program needs altering as no other software I own requires me to do this to obtain an update.
Either way is there a link where I can simply download the update and run the install?

It could be that the antivirus/firewall is blocking the program from installing the updates and you can add an exeption rule to them for the program and also try to run it as administrator.
If you want to download the installer containing already all updates you can find the link in the "Downloads" section of your profile you used to register the program. On this account is no product registered.
