Is the new version 10, in regards to sites be mobile friendly, responsive? I tried Beta 10 but didn't see it as responsive

I thought so, but it isn't! To me, 10 is just version 9 with rounded corners -.-'
regards
that´s really bad - it is a MUST - i think .....
I can be wrong but for the moment I do not find another so powerful software that does it responsive. If you find one, let me know...
The solution I found was to create one desktop version and another for mobiles. I use javascript to redirect from one site to the other.
Wordpress, Prestashop, Drupell, Joomla, I COULD GO ON, have responsive-design modules.

That is what I have done so far with version 8/9..
I was looking forward to having it all togehter ONE place, not splitting up pages, so I have to edit two projects!
So yes, It is REALLY bad, and very dissapointing! I am not buying anything from incomedia, before the Webshop and the Responsive design is running.
Waste of money, If you ask me!
Henrik,
Please forgive me, I do not try to convince you but I do not agree. The software you listed are not in the same category as WebSite X5. They are online scripts.
If you known them you are probably geek enough to install, make the setup, check regularly the security, not only use them. When you want to move from one host to another you have to backup not only the scripts but the database too.
For the most of my clients, I ensure you theese tasks are not as simple as theese done using WebSite X5. Even more, using online CMS needs you to be always connected when publishing. I have some customers whose connect only via satellites when exporting their sites because of the cost and the small time the connection is available.
Object placement and design are to take in count too. With WebSite X5 you create your own design with simple mouse clicks. You place your content where you want in the pages. Using online scripts you use a defined template or have to deal with HTML, css, and tags to create your own template. For the content : you have to use a form and the content is put only where the editor allows it to be put.
Please again I don't try to convince and I confirmed I was disappointed two when I had noted that the V10 was still not creating responsive sites. Really disappointed. I have searched the web trying to find another software to replace WebSite X5. I had found any so easy to use for non geeky customers.
A small off topic note too : responsive means sometime erroneous. I really appreciate the work done by Paravel Inc for Microsoft on their new web sites. You noticed that MSN is full responsive thanks to Paravel's design. But here in France regularly the content is broken depending on what is inside.
When using responsive design you have to accept not to be able to master your web site. Creating a mobile site with WebSite X5 needs to have a separate project but saves time as the preview is what the internet user will see.
Mr. Samuel
I think we are on the same page, I am just getting tired of waiting for updates that should have been implemented a long time ago.
From what you write, I can see that your customes apparently don't need the same things as my customers. That's none of my business, but you have to understand that just because your business are great with the software as is, others may have a hard time with it!
Yes I am geeky enough - My customers are not! Therefore the X5 software are ideal for them. But not if the software doesn't keep up with other solutions. I can't explain to my costumers, why they have to update a webshop two places in 2013!
I agree that the special designed mobile pages are a lot more effective than just responsive design, that is why I have suggested that we should have a button in the Advanced section of X5, where we could customize our Mobile app. Like this fantastic app: https://mosaic.netobjects.com
(We should have the oppertunity to edit the respionsive pages, not just get a standard compression! You should go read my other posts, before arguing with me)
Which Incomedia actually confirmed they were thinking of doing! (YAY!) But then I get this shitty version 10, that promises so much, but keeps none of it! They haven't even updated the cart yet, with the simple updates that were asked for.
Moreover Responsive design is a MUST today, whether youlike it or not! I was so frustated, when getting the version 10 beta, Nothing, and I really mean, NOTHING, of the ideas I have mentioned, and many other users have mentioned, have been implemented in the software.
Even though I agree with your skepticism against responsive design, I would like to mention, that it is the feature of webpages! I sertainly hope for you, and your business, that you are aware of this, or else you are not going to be here for very long!
You shouldn't dissagree with a man that is trying to yell out to the developpers, begging for a better software! This would also give you a better tool in the future, if incomedia ever listnens!
You must understand that I have always loved working with the X5 software, since the first version. The first verison was groundbreaking. From there it just went down. Nobody seems to get any ideas brought to life, and that actually pisses me of, when they have a whole section for "Ideas"! I have wasted so much time writing at this forum, getting nothing through. If the software keeps falling behind, and they don't listnen to me, I have to go other ways. It is, however, such a shame, because the software is very easy to use, and has a great potential.
Did you know that I offered to make features for the software for free?? Do you know what they said? They said no! :P OMG!
Incomedia don't care, they like turtles! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMNry4PE93Y
Why don't you provide them an online PHP management console and create pages where you include the products sold ?
In general you can do this for all content that needs to be edited online. I use PHP includes all the time.
You are absolutely right but I am sure that you can understand that for less than $100 you have a powerful software. Incomedia makes what it can in the time it can with the investment it can allow.
If you have time, money, knowledge you can create your own software and sell it to the world.
One day you'll like them two, for sure :-)
Actually I am developping a CMS atm. But I would still like X5 to become better, so the costumers that have X5 atm. don't have to learn new stuff.
