Flowing text through text cells

Could it be possible to merge a few text cells in this way that text could flow from one text cell to another? as an option of course. It could be usefull during using text cells with images. Of course it is possible to put images inside text (in text cells) but we lost a lot of funcionality (like protect images or edit functions). Best regards
