Dear Claudio,

Chrome installation and linked plug-in don't help to fix the problem. I still get "couldn't load plug-in /install media player plugin" message. I kindly need your support in order to get proper solution for this issue. Thanks in advance.

Hello Birgi,

Download the file in attachment and then unzip it. Move then the folder "Extensions" in the installation folder of WebSite X5 v10 in program files.

Once done then visit the following page with chrome to install the update of the flash plugin:

http://get2.adobe.com/flashplayer/?fpchrome

When you are done please try to check if the videos works.

Please keep me updated.

Hello Birgi,

You need to start Chrome and then in Chrome, select the Chrome menu/tools/extensions like in the picture in attachment.

Then Drag&Drop the extension file (wmpChrome.crx) on the extensions page. Chrome will ask you to install the extension.

Please keep me updated.

Hello Birgi,

Try to update your WebSite X5 to the latest release.

Once done download the attachment and unzip it and move the Extensions folder you will extract to the installation folder of WebSite X5 Evolution 10 in program files and then try again.

Please keep me updated.

Hi Claudio,

Finally the problem has solved! Many Thanks for your kindly support.

I could add a video into the site. However, it is not possible to unhide/disable the control bar on the video (please see the attachment). I have unchecked the "show control bar" option but nothing changed. Could you please tell the method for fixing that bug also?

Thanks in advance,

Hello Birgi,

This control bar is the one of Windows Media Player, which is in the Windows System and cannot be controlled by the program. Did you use the WMV Video Format?

If yes, then this format can only be played with this type of player and I would suggest you to use a format like MP4 for Videos since it can be fully controlled, it supports better the streaming and it can be played also on mobile devices.

Many thanks!
