Hello, i recently let built a website for my company. The editor suggested buying X5 for changing website contents myself. He gave me the website in a regular *.zip format. I tried to import the project, but i was unable to open it. It said it was built with a previous version of X5.

since he is on vacation for a few weeks, is it possible to convert *.zip into *.iwzip and convert this for my version of the application? i'm using X5 evolution 9.

many thanks.

use an updated unzip program (google there are a lot of them.) to extract the iwzip file. Update v10 to the latest version and try again with the import function to import the iwzip.

Hello Michaela,

Do you know in which Version it was made the project? What is inside the zip file? Do you have an iwp file?

Many thanks!

Hello,

Well, problem is, he gave me just a *.zip. not an  *.iwzip. trying to import makes a message appear that version 8 was used.

do I have to wait for him to come back so he makes me a proper file?

use an updated unzip program (google for these, there are a lot of them.) to extract the iwzip file out off the zip file. and try again with the import function to import the iwzip that you have created out of the zip file.

Hello,

as I said, i just have a *.zip file. it contains stuff like sitemap.html, imsearch.php folder "gallery", "admin", "menu". No *iwzip here.

Seems to be made with another Program as X5.

ok, thats clear then, you got the site-code. Not the project.

Ask for the project. That is should be *.iwzip
