Annoyed! i upgraded from 8 to 9 on 2012-07-20 after being sent an email to upgrade which i did, just in case i needed to update my website luckily i didn't need to as i still seemed to stay close to the top in search engines. When i finally go to do some updating to my site, i find X5 doesn't just need an update but changing to another Version less than 6 months after purchasing!! Grrr. Not happy about this at all...................... from a loyal customer

Hi Stephen,

You can stick with version 9 if you like it...  there's no obligation to move to version 10.  In fact, if you 'upgrade' to version 10 then you will lose v9 functionality (unlike the move from v8 to v9) so you might want to bear that closely in mind.

But software of all types is constantly evolving, and annual or biennial updates are par for the course.
